Some business owners are very secretive... as if they've discovered something so incredible, they don't want the 'competition' to find out. At Motts Landing Vineyard we're an open book. We want to share our knowledge. We want more vineyards to thrive in our area. We're not scared to share. If you've got a question, we've got an answer for you. It doesn't matter if you're another grower, winemaker or a curious customer. For the record, the answer is to most of your questions is "yes, it seemed outrageous to us too but we tried it anyway."

Many individuals and organizations have helped us along the way. When we started this vineyard in 2002, we really had no idea what we were doing. We made a lot of mistakes, some quite costly...now we're considered local experts (we're blushing). That said, we're always experimenting and trying to make our lives a bit simpler.
